- Introduction
At Bottler’s Marque Company Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), we are committed to delivering your orders quickly, reliably and securely. The majority of products sold by us are alcoholic spirits and are supplied in accordance with applicable UK licensing, alcohol sale, and distance selling regulations, including the Licensing Act 2003.
For the purposes of the Licensing Act 2003, all sales of alcohol made via our website are treated as distance sales. The sale of alcohol is deemed to take place at our licensed premises, which is our HMRC-licensed alcohol bonded warehouse facility, and delivery is carried out by thirdparty couriers acting on our behalf.
We work with trusted courier networks, including DHL Express arranged through InXpress UK Ltd, to ensure professional handling, secure transport, and responsible delivery of alcoholic goods.
At present, we ship only to UK mainland addresses. We are actively preparing to expand our services and aim to open international shipping by 2nd quarter 2026, but only to countries that our courier suppliers are legally able to ship alcoholic products to.
- Shipping Destinations
- Currently available: UK mainland addresses only (addresses in England, Scotland and Wales only)
- Excluded: Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, and all international destinations
- Planned expansion: International shipping is planned to commence by March 2026, only to nations and territories that our courier suppliers are able to ship alcohol to.
We do not ship alcoholic products to destinations where sale or delivery would be unlawful.
- Shipping Methods & Carriers
All alcoholic spirits are shipped using reputable couriers experienced in handling age-restricted goods, primarily via DHL Express (UK) facilitated by InXpress UK Ltd.
Service types may include the following, depending on the distance between our warehouse’s location and the delivery address:
- 1-2 Business Day Delivery (where available)
- Standard UK Mainland Delivery (2-4 days)
Delivery options available to you will be displayed at checkout and may vary depending on destination and product type.
- Order Processing Times
- Fully paid orders placed before 12 noon middays on business days are typically shipped out by our contracted warehouse team that same business day.
- Fully paid orders placed after 12 noon middays on business days may be shipped out that day, or the next business day, depending on the exact time the order was received.
- Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
- During peak periods, processing times may be slightly extended. We will notify you if there are any significant delays.
- Shipping Costs
- Shipping charges are calculated based on the parcel size and weight.
- All applicable shipping costs will be clearly shown at checkout before you complete your purchase, and added to the total of your invoice for full payment settlement, before your order will be shipped.
- For domestic UK orders, we have secured a standardised flat shipping rate for a shipping weight of up to 15 kg in a single box with a single label. This rate allows us to ship up to 6 spirit bottles to you in one box, for a single shipping charge. Should you place an order for more than 6 bottles or more than multiples of 6 bottles (such as 13, 19, or 25 bottles as an example, then each 6 bottles will be shipped together in one box and you will be charged for the number of boxes that are shipped to you.
- Delivery & Tracking
- Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details sent to you by our courier company partners.
- Tracking information allows you to monitor the progress of your delivery directly with the courier.
- Estimated delivery times are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed.
Licensing Act 2003 – Distance Selling of Alcohol
In accordance with the Licensing Act 2003:
- Alcohol may only be sold and supplied by Bottler’s Marque Company Ltd under the authority of a valid Premises Licence. Bottler’s Marque Company Ltd’s products are shipped to you by our contracted warehouse provider which holds the required Premises Licence from HMRC.
- The sale of alcohol is considered to have been completed at our licensed premises, not at the point of delivery.
- Delivery of alcohol is carried out by a courier acting as our agent.
- The person receiving the delivery must be aged 18 or over.
Age Verification & Responsible Delivery
- All UK deliveries of alcoholic spirits are subject to mandatory age verification.
- Orders in the UK may only be delivered to persons aged 18 or over.
- Couriers may request valid photographic ID upon delivery and may refuse to hand over the parcel if age verification cannot be completed.
- Alcoholic goods cannot be left in a safe place, with neighbours, or delivered to an underage person.
- Missed Deliveries & Delivery Issues
Missed Delivery
If no one aged 18 or over is available to accept delivery:
- The courier may leave a delivery notification card
- A redelivery attempt may be made
- You may be able to rearrange delivery or collect from a local depot, subject to age verification requirements
Delays
Delivery delays may occur due to factors beyond our control, including weather conditions, operational disruptions, courier network issues, or additional checks required for alcohol shipments.
Lost or Damaged Items
If your order is lost or arrives damaged, please contact us within 14 days of the expected delivery date so we can assist with an investigation and resolution.
- 8. Insurance & Liability
- Liability for loss, delay, or damage is subject to the applicable courier’s terms and conditions and UK consumer law.
- Shipments may include limited liability cover provided by the courier for alcoholic beverages.
- Additional insurance for high-value spirit shipments may be available on request.
- 9. Returns & Exchanges
We hope you love your purchase! But, if you need to return an item, we’re here to help. Below you’ll find a clear explanation of your return rights and how our returns process works.
Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
Under UK consumer law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
If you choose to cancel, you must let us know by email within this 14-day period. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
Important Information About Returns
- Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items to us, unless the goods are faulty or incorrect.
- Returned items must arrive with us undamaged, unopened, and in fully re-saleable condition, including original packaging and seals.
Alcohol, Food & Beverage Products Must Be Unopened
For health, safety, and hygiene reasons:
- Alcohol, food, and beverage products under UK law can only be returned if they are unopened and unused.
- Once a bottle seal has been broken or the product has been opened, it can no longer be returned, and your right to cancel does not apply.
Refunds
- Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 14 days, provided it meets the conditions above.
- Refunds will be issued to your original payment method, or by bank transfer.
- Standard outbound delivery charges (if applicable) will be refunded when a valid cancellation is made.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply, and we will arrange a replacement or full refund, including return postage where appropriate.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you’d like a different item, please return your original purchase in line with this policy and place a new order.
How to Start a Return
To cancel an order or request a return, please complete our Contact Us contact form, or email us, mentioning your order number and the details of your request. We’ll respond and communicate with you to coordinate the process.
